Sevens Referee is proud to announce an initial three-year partnership with the Aegean Rugby Festival, commencing with the 2026 tournament.
The collaboration aims to help to grow the festival into one of Europe’s premier rugby destinations, leveraging Sevens Referee’s global expertise in tournament management and elite officiating to significantly increase team participation and help to shape the next "go-to" tournament in Europe.

The team behind the Aegean Festival have well founded ambition for growth, the event is now expanding significantly and given the geography and landscape the event will continue to amaze teams as it moves around both the mainland and islands each year. They are certainly not standing still, 2026 includes Rugby 7s, Beach Rugby and Volleyball with more sports planned for 2027 and beyond.
Greece is one of those destinations that inspires, that offers the sun, sea and amazing views alongside the party atmosphere of sevens and a unique opportunity to walk amongst history itself.
